A Night of Native American Poetry – December 3rd

We are excited to check out this free webinar from the Center for Contemporary Arts Santa Fe’s Living Room Series: A Night of Native American Poetry on Thursday, December 3rd at 6:00 pm MDT.

Hosted by Santa Fe Poet Laureate Elizabeth Jacobson, the event’s participating poets include Layli Long Soldier, dg okpik, Cedar Sigo, and Jennifer Foerster; they will read from the newly released Norton Anthology of Native American Poetry, When the Light of the World was Subdued, Our Songs Came Through, which was edited by United States Poet Laureate Joy Harjo.

Celebrating the indigenous peoples of North America, this landmark anthology was selected as one of Oprah Winfrey’s “Books That Help Me Through.”
