Now is the perfect time to hike in Kasha-Katuwe Tent Rocks National Monument, 40 miles southwest of Santa Fe. It’s one of our favorite spots. The trail winds along a narrow canyon of white rock formed by volcanic eruptions 6-7 million years ago, leading up to the top of a mesa overlooking the cone-shaped “tent rocks” of the area and south to the Sandia mountains. You won’t be disappointed!
