One of our favorite desserts ever is Tres Leches Cake. It is a light, airy sponge cake soaked with a mixture of three (tres) milks (leches). The three milks used are evaporated milk, sweetened condensed milk, and heavy cream. You punch holes in the cake, pour in the three milk mixture, let it soak for a day, and then it’s absolutely TO DIE FOR. So so yummy. You can grab a slice at many of our local New Mexican restaurants, but we think it tastes even better when made from scratch and it’s so easy! Here is a recipe:
