Coming up on Labor Day weekend is The Hatch Valley Chile Festival!
Located a 3 1/2 hour drive south from Santa Fe, Hatch is a small town located between Truth and Consequences and Las Cruces and is renowned for its chile harvest, as well as many other agricultural crops.
Attracting over 30,000 visitors from all over the country, the 2-day event includes sampling famed chile recipes, chile ristra contests, the crowning of the chile festival queen, and more. The Food Network and the BBC are among the visitors.
