Normally this time of year, a string of powwows hosted by Native American tribes would be underway across the U.S., but the pandemic has canceled or postponed virtually all of them, including one of the largest in the U.S. the Gathering of Nations Powwow in Albuquerque usually held in April.
But now there is a great group on Facebook called Social Distance Powwow to help fill the void.
Members from different tribal nations post photos and videos of themselves and loved ones dancing, often in their regalia. Go check it out!
