One of my favorite summer activities is to catch the annual production of Shakespeare in the Garden!
This year’s offering is The Comedy of Errors to be held in the Botanical Garden on Museum Hill, with views of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains as the play’s ultimate backdrop.
One of Shakespeare’s most farcical and earliest plays, the story takes place over 24 hours and tells the story of two sets of identical twins who were accidentally separated at birth in the Greek city of Ephesus. Expect the classical Shakespearean hallmarks of word play, puns, slapstick and mistaken identity!
Performances run from July 28th through August 14th on Wednesdays – Sundays, beginning at 6:45 p.m. Picnicking in the Garden begins at 5:15 pm. Tickets are $35 – $50.
