PHOTO: Juniper Tree

We love this beautiful image of an old twisted juniper tree growing on the rim of a canyon overlooking a stunning view. Juniper trees dot the dry landscape of New Mexico anywhere between 5,000 and 7,000 feet. This slow-growing, drought-hardy native species is a remarkable example of a plant adapted to flourish during the long dry periods of its local environment.
