New Story, a charity dedicated towards providing shelter for families in the developing world, partnered with the innovative construction company ICON to create a 3D-printed home in Austin, Texas in March of this year.
Believe it or not, each home costs roughly $4,000 to build and are completed within 12 – 24 hours! Plans are now in the works for building a whole community of the 3D-printed homes in rural El Salvador or Haiti. Assuming the organizations are able to achieve their fundraising goal, families could move in as soon as the third quarter of 2019.
