Acequia Cleanup Day & Potluck at the Audubon

Looking for something to do this upcoming Saturday that takes place outside so you can enjoy the balmy spring weather?  How about helping to clean up the Acequia del Llano, which runs through the Randall Davey Audubon Center property and along Upper Canyon Road?

This is a wonderful way to help preserve and maintain one of Santa Fe’s acequias.  What’s an acequia, you ask?  These are ancient irrigation ditches in use for centuries throughout New Mexico that play an integral role in effective water management in our state.

Community members of all ages are welcome to join this annual event.  Please bring gloves and tools and a dish for the potluck immediately following the clean-up.

Saturday, April 6th from 8:30 am – 1:00 pm.
