Did you miss the Super Blue Blood Moon that happened on January 31st? Then check out this incredible image of the event by Wayne Suggs Photography! But what is a Super Blue Blood Moon anyway? Well a Blue Moon is when we have 2 full moons in one month. A Super Moon is when the Moon is at its closest point to Earth and appears to be 14 percent bigger and 30 percent brighter than normal. A Blood Moon occurs because the Earth is passing between the Moon and the Sun (lunar eclipse) which gives the Moon a reddish tint to it. The last time all of these events occurred simultaneously in the North America was 1866!
