This in-town hike is located in one of my very favorite parts of Santa Fe! Nestled at the back of the valley flanked by Upper Canyon Road and Cerro Gordo Road, Two Mile Pond Loop is an easy trail (it’s length is actually 1.4 miles in spite of its name) along a pond, through a riparian wetland, and up along the side of a hill with beautiful views of Picacho Peak and the Sangre foothills.
If you’re wanting a longer hike, you can access the Dale Ball Trail system from this location, as well as trails at the Randall Davey Audubon at the end of Upper Canyon Road.
