Take a Stargazing Tour!

Rosales/special/july29/ 2005/jp3 Story about Camping at Coyote Creek, one of the State Park's smallest but most beautiful recreational areas, locate some 18 miles north of the Town of Mora off highway 434. The capmpground offers both RV and tent camping as well as fishing, hiking and activities for kids. Pictured is the main entrance. As part of the activities on the campground for the third week of July, an Astronomer from Santa Fe came to give a talk to campers about the stars and the planets that make up our galaxy.

How about taking a night sky tour that is both entertaining and educational?  Astronomy Adventures offers tours throughout the year and is located in Cerrillos; a short drive from Santa Fe.  Using a large Newtonian reflector telescope with a 20 inches mirror, the tours include up-close details of planets and the moon as well as star clusters, nebulae and far distant galaxies.
